Memberships

Memberships are determined by the type of solar panel system you have. They can be one of three different types of solar panel systems. 

  • Community Solar systems
  • Cooperative Microgrids
  • Individual systems

 The system is being developed and we will let anyone who wants to sign up, know when the their area is ready for subscriptions.

FOV Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Private Foundation. As such the organization takes no profit from subscription fees or membership management. Our operating cost is between 10% and 15% of the subscription fee, to administer the operation of FOV Inc itself. This is the usual nonprofit operating percentage, from fees. All our expenses and credits can be found on our 990PF here.

The microgrid is a solar array a stand-alone system that powers a particular community. It connects directly to the home, so no utility, but excess power is sold back to the utility.
